Three thousand five hundred years later, the boat of the pharaonic queen Hatshepsut sails once again across the Red Sea, in a reenactment of her historic expedition to the Land of Punt. Based on ancient inscriptions from the temple of Deir el-Bahari in Luxor, this project brings together American and Italian archaeologists with Egyptian craftsmen to reconstruct the ship and embark on a thrilling journey into history—revived in the twenty-first century.
