Biography

Paris and gained experience on television sets. A trainer for young filmmakers in Nantes, he collaborated on the theatre play Grains de Grenades in 1993, then co-directed Le Flamenco, a Thema series for La Cinq. He directed the following films: La Zaouia (short film, 2000); L’Appel du Sahara (documentary, 2005); Douz, la porte du Sahara (documentary, 2005). His filmography also includes Nesma Wa Rih, presented at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as other documentaries such as Art Women, Once Upon a Time a Grocery Store, and Octobre Printanier. La Zone is his first feature-length film.
